lASHAWN ALEXANDER LMSW, m.eD

Believe it or not, the hard part is over… you are here! As a professional who has worked directly with individuals and couples with various challenges from separation and divorce, stress, and anxiety, I also understand the importance of extending services within a family unit including young children, and teens on and off the spectrum.

Over the past eight years I have worked with individuals and families adjusting to some of the most drastic changes imaginable. One very important thing I commend each of them for was taking the step that you are taking today. My overall desire is to help you bridge the gap between where you are and where you want to be, who you are and who you want to be. So, take a deep breath and let’s sit down and have a conversation.

SWIYAH WHITTINGTON LACMH, TCYM

Are you experiencing challenges with consistent worry and concern? Maybe you are struggling to find pleasure in your daily activities? Even if you have concerns with other mental health symptoms, I am here to support you.

My name is Swiyah Whittington, and I serve adults, children, and families as a psychotherapist using an integrative approach that includes a combination of somatic practices. This interactive approach supports clients’ sense of self-worth, self-esteem, and self-confidence.

I am here to assist clients in navigating the challenges that life has brought them, from childhood trauma to just managing day-to-day concerns. I work with clients seeking improvement in their lives. As a therapist, I support each client on their journey to healing. I meet each client where they are and support them in setting goals towards where they would like to be. The initial session begins with an assessment to identify where they are and their needs. In collaboration with this information and our work together, we develop goals to get the client there. I work with adults, children, and families wanting to improve.

It’s my belief that no one can empower you like yourself. I feel that we have strengths that can be utilized in various situations to improve our well-being. I provide a pleasant and positive experience. This, in combination with my past experiences as a teacher, program coordinator, group home staff, and RBT influences my passion to support clients.
